My dear friend Sara has just started a new blog, and it’s going to be fantastic.

She and her dear friend, Joanna (whom I like very much but don’t know very well), interview each other about books they’ve been reading, then transcribe the interviews. What a fabulous idea! And why didn’t I think of it?

They’ve only done two books so far, but let’s hope they are the first of many. The interviews are informative, just the right length, and funny. And the interview format is far better than a run-of-the-mill book review. It feels like you are the fortunate eavesdropper on an intimate conversation between two well-read, articulate people who love literature, and who are obviously very close friends.

Love it. (And not just because they have promised to talk about my novel when it comes out.)
